PJ Zoo caught my eye on Twitter recently and I popped over to their website to have a look. The first thing
you notice are the gorgeous illustrations, and it's no surprise that company founder Richard Crombie's illustrations came first! You can see lots of pictures, play games and explore more on their Facebook page.
We were invited to choose a pair of pyjamas for Joseph to review. We sat at the computer screen for a considerable length of time "mummy, the dinosaur please", "yes Joseph ok", "um, mummy, I think I want the rabbit". This went on for a while and we decided on the penguin, one of Joseph's favourite animals!
The pyjamas are 100% cotton and the first thing I noticed was how soft they are, with none of the dressing that you sometimes get in cheaper fabric. The print is gorgeous, and the detail is lovely. But what I really love about these is the bottoms!
Joseph hates shorts. It's been so warm, that he has been wearing shortie pyjamas but he hates them and its a battle to get them on. These are lovely and roomy but with a good fitting band around the waist (a constant problem for us with our skinny minny slim waisted chap - oh to have that problem), so they fit nicely all night.
Just a little note on sizing, Joseph is a small, stringy bean, and is only just in size 2-3 in clothes. I ordered the 3-4 as I like pyjamas a little roomy, and the sizing is just right for him, the t-shirt is a comfy but snug fit, so I would suggest going for a slightly larger size than you normally would.
The pyjamas come in 2 sets of sizes Little Kids 2-6 and Big Kids 7-12. The smaller sizes are £18 and the larger sizes are £20. I intend to buy another pair, as I love them so much. I am guilty of buying cheaper pyjamas generally, but the ones in the supermarket tend to be polycotton, and they get extremely warm. These are funky, comfortable and best of all Joseph loves them.
